game doesn't start fix

when I tried to start the game it did nothing at first. When executing it manually it told me that it ws missing the openal32.dll, you can get it here: http://connect.creativelabs.com/openal/Downloads/oalinst.zip

fixed it for me

edit: looks like the creativelabs site is doing some restrucuring, can't find their current URL so here's a mirror on MEGA[mega.co.nz]

Update: the oalinst-file should be in the game-folder when installed; I found it under steam/steamapps/common/broken sword 2 .. just dubble-click it and things should be fine..

I don't think "open" redirects the log output but I don't know much about logging under Mac

well, okay, i couldn't find this folder by visual searchin through all of the folders on the hard-disk, but in terminal "$ open ~/Library/Application\ Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/Broken\ Sword\ 2" actually helped! it opened right folder with direct game application, but.... it still didn't work. even "$ open ~/Library/Application\ Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/Broken\ Sword\ 2/Broken\ Sword\ 2.app". it refused to start at all.
not my day(night) it seems..

I didn't assume that would make it work, I just wanted to get the log output from the application to see where it failed.

, seems like it has problems initializing the file loader. I guess try to reinstall or

reinstalliation didn't change a thing unfortunatelly.
and "sudo".... well.. i need to type password, but it's not typing in the terminal like i don't have keyboard connection at all. oh, this cruel world...

It hides your input deliberately, it's a security feature so that people looking at the screen can't even tell the number of letters your password has. Just type it like you always do and hit enter

Could be that they have just added it, but they havent fixed it yet.. got the same prob even tho the oalinst-file was in the folder .. had to manualy click it and get it installed .. anyway, things should work for ppl now :) Enjoy the game, and thanks for putting it where ppl can get the info fast :)
