anyone came across a problem with this game saying it needs a sound card to work and to check sound card drivers? mine is completely fine so was wondering if anyone has solved this problem?

i spent hours searching for a fix to this problem and yep the same found nothing :(

Navigate to the following directory:0

E:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Broken Sword 2

[Note: The first two segments of the directory may be different, if so, just navigate to where you have installed Steam]

Look for a file called oalinst.exe and run it. That will fix your audio issues.

im also having this issue. i installed openal for the first game. then after that started this one up to play the first scene then next session it wouldent start.
i tried reinstalled open al but no success.

might just have to emulate my psx copy instead.

No había copia local de oalinst.exe, así que tuve que descargarlo directamente desde OpenAL

The 2nd post by 󠁳Bakhtosh fixed it for me.

You gotta download the 'openal-soft-1.15.1-bin.zip' and rename the DLL's from that.
