menu mode broken?

okay so im trying to get the mod menu, and for the last ending where I escape through the gate in the nick of time, the game doesn't count it, and i dont get the menu. any help or suggestions?

Play it on easy or normal, so the parents aren't too fast. Open the gate, wait until your mother runs in front of the car so you're sure she won't come at you (I've had this happened to me), wait until the gate closes with you behind the car, when you see the gate start to close your dad will run out, run at your mom, run around the back, and run towards where your friends are. Maybe that is what's happening. Are you running to the left when you exit the gate? I don't know. Maybe it's slightly specific.

Once you did that, go to your PC and type in menu mode on, and to turn it off, menu mode off. You can guess when you did it right. There will be an "M" on your screen.

Maybe you are getting it but there is an ending you didn’t get. Did you get the ending running on the road to the right side? I believe that’s an ending. So exiting the roof, walk on the cables and land on the fence to the right, then run towards the road and run.

Play it again and write down all the endings you’ve gotten. It works for me. The terminal app is the place where it ‘only’ works. Following a video with all eight endings if it doesn’t show up. Or verify the files. Uninstall and reinstall the game.

Does the mom or dad disappear when the cut scene starts? That could be way you’re not getting the ending correctly. There is that bug that the dad or mom or both disappear during the gate escape. If it happens, keep trying. I’d verify the files and keep trying.

came back late but, how do i verify the files?

Go to your library of games. So click on your avatar picture with your friends up or right click the steam icon. To find that, click on the arrow “^” to bring up community icons, which is beside the time, right click on the steam icon click on community or whatever to bring up tabs in which you can click on library tab, click on library, right click Schoolboy Runaway, click on properties, click on installed files tab, then verify integrity of game files.

Dude, i don't know. Your best bet is to do it all again and get the endings. I can use the menu just fine. Didn't even know of it until there was a video. I didn't know I got all the endings until I tried putting in the command. But it's not a big deal to use it. I RARELY use it because it's more fun to play it numerous of times.
