Here's a tip for everybody including speedunners

If you type out the user name on the PC or laptop, you can copy it and paste it for later if you fail. Seems to be saved if the game crashes and you reboot, or shut down the game. Another tip is to grab the hoes but don't move it to the barrel, just keep it in your inventory. Once your mother goes in the house, sneak out, put the hose in the barrel and fill it up. Then sneak back into your room in case dad comes to check up on you. Run back outside to move the hoes to the barrel, then back to the garden/planets.

You can get the item in the barrel through the hole once the water is filled up just right.

You can also run on the carpet whilst your dad is watching TV to get to the parents room quickly instead of crouching. Just make sure you crouch before you pass over the carpet. Goes both ways. You can hide behind a specific chair in the kitchen whilst your mother is making food and goes to water the plants. It's the chair beside the one closest to the window you can open.
