Glitch for dad punishment (squats)

Every time I get caught by the dad and am forced to do squats, he doesn't count up. He just says one every time I do a squat, and it forces me to restart the game every time since he never lets me go. This has happened since when I first bought this game. Is anyone else experiencing this glitch, and does anyone know how to fix it?

Thanks! It works with the menu mode on, but do you know how to fix it with the menu mode off? This is only because whenever I beat the game with the menu mode on, it gives me the cheat ending, even when I don't use the mods.

It's not a bug. You have to squat all the way down, wait a second, then stand up.

Sorry, I wasn't aware that you had to wait that long between the squats, since I had to wait for around four seconds for the first squat to register, then the rest were normal. Thanks though.

It is because you have to do the squats slow

If you spam crouch, it won't count as doing the next one and he'll just repeat the same count.
