Perfect Run achievement should be clearer
The game really should show you which levels you've completed perfect for this achievement. I'm stuck at 6/7 now after replaying all the levels multiple times and I don't have the slightest idea which one I'm missing. The "perfect" requirements for different levels aren't entirely clear either. I completed one perfect as far as I can tell that I know I screwed up the first time through and the counter didn't increase.

I ran into this as well. I'm pretty sure the 7th I'm missing is the final one... but I'm only *pretty* sure. I ran through the last level a few times and while I think I was doing it all correctly I still didn't get 7/7, which leaves me wondering what I messed up... :mbablob:

I've been wondering if it's the leaf level. I have no idea what to do when I run into the wall of leaves and no matter what I click on, the mayfly always misses some of the sparkles on the way through. The one I screwed up the first time through was the second shooting star level but it doesn't seem to help if I replay it.

Sorry for the confusion. I didn't want to make an achievement for each individual perfect run level, because that might interrupt a normal playthrough. But yes, that makes it a lot harder to know which level's have gotten perfect run. I'll look into a way to make this more clear.

The leaf level is not one of the levels required for perfect run.

Ok, so here's some more info that should lead you to the answer. Ephemerid uses Steam cloud storage to save the perfect run progress. That way, if you sign in on a different machine, your progress is the same. Nevertheless, Steam syncs local copies of the cloud storage files to your machine. In this file, you can find a list of the actual scenes that have been perfect run.

Here are the steps I took on my machine to find this file:
1. Go to your profile page in steam and copy the URL at the top. Paste it in this page to find your Steam ID: http://steamidfinder.com/ (I had to click the "looking for steam id 3" option)
2. Open the Windows explorer and open the Steam install folder. Go to userdata, and open the folder with the ID that you found in step 1.
3. In that folder, you should find a folder named "335920" which is the Ephemerid app ID. Open that folder.
4. Open the "remote" folder and view the "ephemerid" file with a text editor of your choice.
5. If you've gotten this far, it should be pretty straight forward to see which scenes have been perfect run. They'll be listed like "perfect_run":{"canopy_down":true}

Hope this helps! If you have trouble finding the file, check out this page for more info:

Ah thank you! I didn't think to look at the save file since that data isn't isn't in plain text. Is "winter_dance" the flower scene? If that's the case I must be missing the second star scene...I could have sworn I got that one perfect the last time I did it. Time to try again!

Yep, "winter_dance" is the flower scene. Glad you figured out what your missing!

Can anyone just list what the seven levels in question are?

Ah I didn't realize there was a way to get this with no knowledge before of how well you've done....this might come in handy thanks

Like Animund anyone can tell what 7 levels there are. I know I still have to stars2 but blank on the 7th. Is the final level one too? If so how does it count perfect.

@ Creator; Instead of 7 achievements perhaps some indicator on the level selection which are perfect run required and have the indicator collored if perfect run is true? That's how most games do it, and it should work flawlessly without breaking up a regular run-through.

Here's a rundown of the scenes:

stars_1: First scene with stars
canopy_down: Going down, hitting branches
winter_dance: The dance with companion on flowers
spider: Sewer spider scene with horn beetles and bees
stars_2: After sewer bubbles scene
charge: Scene with beetles charging logs and dancing with bees on flowers
final_dance: Starts in space, after cloud charging.

Not sure if it's on the right order. The final dance is the only scene that isn't directly selectable via the menu, you gotta go through Charge first.

Thanks, got it... not sure why I got it third run in the final level (doing nothing different from the first two runs that I could tell).

And yeah, that's the right order.

EDIT: And... now to find the secret game... oddly not even Google tells me how to unlock it. Someone mentioned seeing the zodiac signs at the end of the game, but during the credits I saw nothing... :?

On the last stage some zodiac constellations appear, and on the menu you click their signs on this order:

♏ Scorpio
♒ Aquarius
♉ Taurus
♌ Leo
♍ Virgo

First of all: fantastic game and soundtrack! I just finished my first run, and I intend to try to perfect run. But I have some doubts as what counts to the perfect completion of a level. For exemple, I did the first star level a couple of times, till I was sure i've sent all the yellow star to the yellow constelation, and all the pink stars to the pink constellation. But when I check the save information, as the tutorial above tells me to do, it doens't show like a perfect score... I need to hit every firework in the end of the level? Because if that's so, I don't think that's possible without a touch screen...

And one more thing: does doing a perfect score in slow mode still counts?
Mother Serpent Nov 18, 2015 @ 1:43pm
For those wondering, yes, a perfect score on slow mode works :)
