A Niche Idea:
I decided to start a second discussion with regard to this game. As I mentioned in a previous post, I am an aspiring adult figure skater and choreographer. With that said, one of the things that is missing in the figure skating community is a software that allows choreographers to create and plan their own programs to give to other skaters. This is something I have been doing a lot of research on and the closest software available is for dance (The best I have found is DanceForms). However these software are designed specifically for dance and are also not very figure skating friendly. Additionally, they lack user friendliness.

Your game, if re-imagined as choreography software, I feel, could fill this niche in a few ways. First, the game would have to allow for full control of the figure's body (not just stringing predefined steps along). Everything from the head to the feet should be manipulable. This way a user or a choreographer can manipulate the skater into the positions that they want/ need. Second, the game would have to allow users to import their own music so that they can plan the routines to the music they are using in real life. Third, there would have to be an option for pair skating/ ice dance, with their associated elements. Finally, the hardest part would be making it so that things like jumps and spins are easy to add using predefined steps, but things like step sequences and choreo can be manually added/ manipulated. The basic skating (using W,A,S,D and Space) could stay the way it is. Also, the inclusion of a record button that records not only the performance that is created, but also the music that is playing would be helpful.

Like I said, this is a very niche and novel idea, but I really feel that your game could skyrocket if branded as choreography software that just so happens to be like a game and has that simpleness. While I am only one opinion on this idea, I'd really like to hear the steam communities thoughts as well as the developers thoughts on this. This could be revolutionary if executed properly. Thank you for all you have done with this game, and for all that you continue to do for the figure skating world.

Wow, this idea could indeed be revolutionary for figure skating program building! But it would require a lot of work and careful planning to bring it to life. I think many aspects could be achievable. Custom character movements might be more challenging to implement. One possibility is to allow players to import custom-made animations into the game, if Steam supports it. However, players would need to be familiar with animation software. Another option could be to develop an in-game animation creator. That would require some serious brainstorming and innovation! Thank you for your idea; I'll consider this and see if it can be implemented in the game.

Thanks for your willingness to help! I've figured out how to allow custom music and textures in the game. This update will be released just before the Four Continents Competition. Players will now be able to upload their own short program and free skating music, set a musical jump timer based on their routine, and customize their skater's costume using their own images. This will give skaters more freedom to express themselves and design programs that reflect their personal style.

Great job! Can't wait to see this update! Keep up the good work.
