How can I become Alderman?
I am making tons of missions about destroying Pirate Nest, I've got 51 ships, I'm mayor of Lubeck for 4 years in a row and the gold is not an issue for me. How can I get in the first 4 candidates and how can I win?

Do you have convoys supplying all towns on the map? With 51 ships, that would be about 2 ships per town. That doesn't sound like a lot of volume. You do need a lot of reputation in all the Hanse.

I'd recommend the "hunt a pirate" instead, that's an easier mission.

1st: No, I don't support all the towns, just Lubeck because otherwise the townspeople will maul me. I have just really large convoys who obliterate every single pirate nest.
2nd: Every time I do that, I get the cinematic of the failure and the message that another dude took the mission.
3rd: I made into the list by founding trade routes.

So...any suggestions on how to rise my reputation in all the Hanse without making a lot of effort?
The "Make a North city great again" mission seems complex.

I did the Found a city mission and Destroy a pirate's nest mission and got first in the list as soon as he made me eligible for being Aelderman. I've also been supplying all the eastern cities from Aalborg to Reval for most of the game.

I also made the "Found a city" mission, but how can I make it quickly reach 1000?

Founded Windau. NOT EVEN WITH THAT, I WAS ABLE TO GET INTO THE FIRST 4.

doing alderman missions is like doing celebrations in town;
although they boost your rep, its not permanent.

supplying hanseatic towns is still the way to go; even if you are not doing alderman missions one shall still get promoted if you satisfy teh hanse

To become an Alderman, you need to be respected by citizens in multiple cities. Just doing missions may not be enough, they are there to just give you a nudge to the top of the list.

I set up small auto-trade convoys for each city, that haul stuff from central warehouses every couple days (for example, my Malmo warehouse supplies Aalborg, Lubeck, Rostock, Stettin, Gdansk and Torun). That way all the towns are supplied bit by bit, and my reputation (and profit) grows. Each convoy is lead by an upgraded snaikka, plus 1-2 cargo ships (or more if needed). As you can see, with that setup this region alone requires about 15-18 ships as a bare minimum.

Are you sure you actually obliterate them? You need to destroy enemy ships, and the towers. I suspect you missed the towers, so the game auto-completed the mission with some other trader.

"Founding a city" requires building all the required town buildings, including the wall, and attracting 1000 citizens, within a certain time limit. You need to haul a lot of bricks, timber and iron goods, so unless you have a brick industry already built, you can't really succeed.

Yeah, I obliterate them because I get the cool cinematic and the thank you message. The mission I always fail is the "FInd a Pirate" one because I don't get the chance to find him.
I successfully founded Windau (With cool cinematic and thank you message)

To kill the notorious pirates you need to find them first. You can do that by spending money in the taverns; there should be an informer available in some.
Another option is to use the "save / load" method.
With that, you save the game, accept the mission to check which pirate is wanted, then load and look for a convoy for that pirate. The moment you have a convoy in sight, pause, save the game, check the mission and the moment it's still that pirate, attack him and destroy his convoy.

To complete the missions to increase the population of a certain town, start with increasing your reputation in that town to get permission to start a trading office. The moment you got that one done, you have to make sure you got a large convoy with sailors and building materials; AS WELL as enough Big Four items; over there. You can again use the "save / load method" to check for the town, sail that convoy over, and accept the mission. Next step is to buil enough houses and industries to provide that population boost. Given that one industry increases the population, 25 works, 75 relatives, you can do the match. Keep supplying the town with the big four items to keep the population happy and slowly unload your sailors every time one of your industries in finished. This will help you to complete the missions.

to become alderman you don't need to be supplying all the Hanse just more than your competitors. the right wife a few timely bribes and your in. as long as you make the list easiest missions are land route notorious pirate clearing a nest though the last one can be interesting. look at the votes thats how many cities you need to be seen as mayor in.

just a note from reading comments

unloading sailors, firing captains usually empties all the taverns so avoid it if you need workers donate to the church in amounts that bring Beggars from the surrounding countryside do it for several days in a row. unless the steam version is different I still Have the CD version. I will say I never looked to see if they left town or just left the taverns

the best way to supply multiple towns is to pick a city as a hub like aalborg, luebeck, groningen and revel or stockholm build a lot of warehouses in each and send small fleets on auto trade to each city buying and selling then returning to dump and restock.
if you exploit the ai you can make cities build industries you can do this by sending in a sucker to take more than you should the game will compensate weather it has the supplies to do it or not i.e bricks, timber, iron goods. to build the buildings

sheep farms in Thorn for example I sell wool for 1250 and buy it for the same with a good trade captain. they will build more Farms to supply their town, anything that's self supportive will work for beer you need to keep enough timber and grain for the production going. I had Thorn with like 5 sheep farms in under a year. have to use captains to exploit and just set up like five or ten buys in the town then dump somewhere close(stetten), and back. if you don't want to see the message on losses put a blank buy and sell in the first position. those notes aren't important as long as you're selling for more than your paying you are OK gathering routes lose money. you don't need to fix them to be profitable.

doing this will help other towns grow with your main town. if luebeck has 7000 people and the rest have under 2k you are going to eventually run out of supplies
