Text box problems!!!1!

So, whenever i read or speak to someone, the dialogue box gets stuck for over a minute before continuing as normal, i´ve already encountered this problem quite a few times in the less than 30 minutes i have playing the definitive edition, does somebody else have the same issue? or is it just me and my decaying PC?

Yep, same happens to me. Mainly with Terry's dialogues and/or new text

Exactly, right now im stuck at the new magnificent treasure chest text, it also happened with the two hints in the prior room

Woah, than maybe its just exclusive to some very specific areas? i hope it doesn't continue happening during the rest of the game

I actually tought the same, especially because the first time it happened to me was during a conversation with Terry where he gives me his teroids

I HAVE AN UPDATE ON THIS

I waited like 20 minutes on the dialogue and the game is now working.

Hey all, we have gotten this report a couple of times and are working on a hotfix.
For now, two things:

1. There is a slight workaround you can do now-- set Text Type to "instant" in the game settings, and this should get around text hangs.

2. Please submit a bug report with as many details as you can to help us track down and solve the issue: https://airtable.com/shrzWMdBD7QWWt2fg

Please include as much info in the bug report form as possible, including the app data folder. This may help us figure out this dialogue freeze, which we currently don't know how to replicate.

Nice, glad you´re looking into it, im going to try the instant text type then
