more than anything i want to know how and why buzzo became involved with the creation of joy, as well as the other mutants. for how crazy he was, he seemed level headed during the joyless ending as well. yado was in olathe for what seems like over 50 years, but he has no sign of aging.
Child abandonment is not cool kids.
in the flashback were you meet them one of the students is quiet and brad asks him if he was doing alright at home
(the blond one with the bowlcut btw) you also cant see his eyes and buzzo is also blond (iirc)
it also explains how buzzo would have known brad and (and maybe lisa?) from before
also idk if this was in earlyer builds of the game
but at the start of the game when you enter brads house and his dad sends him upstairs you can go into the far right room and see a baby in a cradle who is aperitly sopost to be lisa?
What implies that Brad abandoned Dusty? All we know of so far is him running out the Dojo.
Yes it's lisa lol
Well until any more in game stuff changes that by specifically showing that Brad stuck around, we can tell he's defenitly not been a part of Dustys life for at least x amount of years (Depending on how old Buddy is) also the amount of time Brad & his buddies have been living in the mountians before then as we don't see him then either.
Another thing that makes me think that is the fact Rando cries when he sees Brad, which could be tears of sadness to see how the man he saw as a father fall or tears of happiness because he's glad that Brad is still alive. But more importantly, it's clear that Brad doesn't know Rando is Dusty, meaning they haven't seen each other in a long long time.
I'm going to think that the moment Brad walked out that door, he kept walking as to be rid of his past and never looked back, not accepting what was happening.
Let's consider this; you're a teacher and you just walked into your class to see one of your students ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ face having been sliced off of him. He tells you what happened and you walk off. That makes you the biggest scumbag in the world. I liked Brad before but that scene really irked me. It didn't make me feel better about Brad, it made me feel worse.
You made some good points! You know whats funny about that, remember the hallucination he had seeing his little sister's funeral? when you try to exit the door it says "Stop Running".
Good point!
I didn't see any phones, life-alerts, or paramedics inside the dojo. I don't think Brad is a big enough douchebag to walk off when his student could be bleeding to death.
Even if we were to assume that he was going to run to get paramedics, he still had a concerningly apathetic reaction.
I had the feeling that he just went off to take drugs (if he wasn't high already). I think the mentioning of Lisa was too much for him, and like usual he deals with his memories by running away from them. Whether it's with painkillers, like in his past, or with joy.
You can get mad at him, but really, his behavior seems to be realistic as a drug addict who was emotionally and physically abused as a child (by his own father). Oh, and not to mention the enormous guilt he feels over his sister's suicide. I mean, christ, he never even experienced affection from another person. So, his apathy isn't too surprising with or without drugs.
That's why i love this community, always well thought out opinions/ theories :)
