At first you and him are pretty evenly matched, and he even throws some of your combos at you. Then, his mask begins to fracture and eventually it breaks.
When it breaks, and I almost didn't catch this, Rando's name changes to "broken man" and his face is visibly warped and messed up (probably from Brad beating him when he was younger) and at that point Rando stops doing almost any attacks and starts crying and coughing up blood which hurts him even more.
It was just so neat seeing Rando go from this visage of a powerful warlord to a broken man that was once Brad's student that really respects him in the span of maybe two or three minutes, all while in active battle, mind you.
His face might be mutilated, but he kept his body in tip-top-condition, is one of the most powerful characters in the game and has the most fearsome gang, yet he himself is kind, as demonstrated when you crash into him with your motorcycle and he gives you rations as an apology or when he examines Buddy's face and reassures her that how you look is not the most important thing.
@Above
Yeah, he's a great character despite saying so little.
Also for dingaling; is he based off of Lord Humungus for at least his looks?
There's a hallucination scene where he's all cut up with bandages around him where he's sorry towards Brad. Who knows.
Just when I thought my feels couldn't hurt any more...;_;
No I have never seen any of the Mad Max movies to completion. Rando is more based off of Darth Vader more then anything. I'm not a huge Stars Wars buff, but mowadays it's easy to take Star Wars for granted considering how revolutionary it was. At the time of release Darth Vader was this totally mysterious and powerful guy with strange breathing/speech. Rando is similar in that respect. The rest (maybe I shouldn't admit this.) is based off of personal experience being in the martial arts. (Don't worry, I still have a face.)
Wow so you crippled a little boy.
