(SPOILER) Did you decide to let Buddy Hug Brad

I just couldnt see how Buddy couldn't hug Brad. I really do feal realistically that that's the least Buddy could do for Brad, because she knows in her heart, as messed up as Brad was, all he want was for her to be safe. (Also if it wasnt for Brad taking her in as a baby she'd probably be dead!)

I believe everyone needs a genuine hug in life at least once, it can save the world lol.

I had her hug Brad. Though I actually don't think Buddy would do it if she had her own choice. The only reason we feel the sympathy is because we know Brad's whole side of the story. She doesn't. She's too young to understand his issues and how people have manipulated her, so she probably would have rejected Brad.

That is true, she is a child and not fully mature enough to understand Brad's reasons for doing what he did and stepping out of her own perspective of things....but just...ONE HUG!?!?

I'd really like to think in reality she did :P

I'm contemplating whether or not I'll get Buddy to hold Brad on my Selfish/Joyful playthrough, I probably won't but you never know. Like Enix mentioned, Buddy doesn't really know Brad's story or what he went through for her so that might be why I'm so biased to showing sympathy to Brad.

I don't think she would hug Brad. He may have been a good person at heart, but he was still mentally ♥♥♥♥♥♥. He may have a done a few nice things for her, like the mask or letting her put makeup on him, but he was also a drug-addicted washout who proceeded to kill her three uncles, then Rando and all of his men, who to her were just trying to help her.

I didn't let her hug Brad because I was really not sure what Brad actually did and I expected him to turn into a mutant and assimilate her ala salvation rangers. Also the dialogue for choosing not to hug her was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ funny.

I had her hug him. I agree with some of the others that I'm not sure Buddy would have done it if it we weren't guiding her choice (she seems pretty concerned about others, but also seems pretty scared of Brad after all he's done in pursuit of her, and hasn't seen a lot of what we've seen from his perspective), but I couldn't bear not to hug him after all Brad's had to deal with throughout his life and through the course of the game; I felt like he at least deserved that much. I'd like to think Buddy would be willing to push past her animosity towards Brad and grant him that one final wish, but wouldn't blame Buddy at all if that would have been too much for her, since some of Brad's actions have given her pretty good reason to fear him.

Now on a second playthrough... totally different story. Gotta try everything and see all the game has to offer, after all!

Yeah, okay, but Rick and Tony betrayed him and Rick refused to even tell Brad what was going on until Brad had to beat him half to death with a spiked club. Let's not pretend Buddy's "uncles" were pure saints or anything.

I hope so, I'd like to think that when we get to play as Buddy she'll understand just exactly how much pain Brad went through to protect her at some point in her journey. I feel like it'll be a part of her character arc, and she'll probably take on some characteristics of Brad when she gets older too.

Hopefully not the Joy addiction though, that ♥♥♥♥'s rotten to the core
