The Mysterious Joy Lab [Maybe minor spoilers]
Does anyone know if it's possible to get inside it?I'm talking about the metal doors on the outskirts of the abandoned town by the way. I've been looking all over the town and I can't find anything. I do see that one of the houses that you can't access(As far as I know) has a huge mutant glued to the back wall of it's basement lab. My imagination is telling me he's got the keycard or whatever to get inside and it's driving me nuts. This game is the tits though and I can't stop playing it.

Are you, by chance, talking about the factory where you meet Buzzo for the first time? There's a guy telling you that some gang is playing cards there or something, I fail to remember. It's the building past the inn with Geese, right?

Nooooo I'm talking much later, it's where you get the "Doctor in the House" achievement.

I have no recollection of such thing. Which area is it in?

It's by area 2, you climb down one of the holes at the crossroads and you find yourself in a really freaky abandoned town. There's a couple fast running "Freaks" running around that look like Joy Mutants. Most of the houses are covered in blood and the usual mess. The only "Main" goal I could find for the town was the achievement of killing the scientist in one of the basements. Anywho, to the far right of the town you can find a big metal door with the words "Joy" on it, there's also one of Buzzo's masks right next to it on the ground.

Thanks Cairn ^

Oh, I've searched for it, but couldn't even find the entrance.
In all honesty, we should make something like a chart of notable skin mutants and how to find/trigger them.

For example I still don't know what does that peaceful guy hugging a crate does, or how to make the brown monster in the art gallery to do something aside from weeping.

It's this http://imgur.com/rwM4w5o entrance. But yeah I agree, there's a lot more to this game than meets the eye and I'd love to find out more cool hidden stuff.

Well I'll just drop one right here since I can't be assed to make a separate discussion about joy mutants for now.

So, possible spoiler regarding one of them is below.

That motorcycle gang in area 3 can be interacted with.
If you rest out near the campfire, Terry gets stolen (again), and they hold him ransom. By the time you arrive there though, they all are mauled by their leader transforming into joy mutant.
There is also a pile of gore near him, with Brad suggesting that it's Terry remains.

Went out like a real trooper.

Looks like you're going to have to wait until Lisa 2: Electric Boogaloo to come out... And by that I mean Buddys Quest (most likely not the name) the Buddy centered story to come out where it will most likely answer most of our questions.

From my understanding you can't enter it whatsoever according to the games creator (But that was during the backers release, things may have changed)

I thought maybe wearing a Joy mask from the random camping event while approaching the cameras would open the door, but alas... The mask comes off when going up or down ropes, making it impossible to get to the door with the mask on.

Please for the love of all that is holy. Let that be a part 2/expansion thing that will be released relatively soon....and not a whole second game I'll have to wait for. I'll buy it regardless, I just really want to know more about the story lol.

You need to be in Pain mode to access the Joy Lab

Is this true? Is there some verification for this? I couldn't find a thread from searching.
