Geez, this game is hard

Few places to grind and grind-able enemies are worth next to nothing. Inns are few and far between. Allies are perma-dropping like flies. Lost 5 people just to russian roulette. I'm spamming firebombs like they're going out of style against every boss. Then I lose my limbs.

This game ain't kiddin' around. Pain mode is going to suuuck.

Oh, I thought you might've been in Pain mode already.

It shouldn't be too tough, just save-reload when stuff happens and try it over!

Also, if you level to 20 on the invisi-dark creatures before going ahead, you should be good for the entire game!

I've been reloading a LOT. The only reason I didn't reload at russian roulette is because I hadn't saved in a while and didn't feel like going through all those fights again. I learned from retrying about 20 times on Punkert that I probably don't want to try again if a fight went even close to well the first time.

Leveling to 20! That would take so long.

Nah, you'd be surprised. I remember leveling to about 20 on them in an hour.

And oh Russian Roulette... I lost most of my guys the first time through. Then the next game BEASTBORN went through every round by himself and I never lost anybody!

Trust me when I say, it gets MUCH easier. By the time you near the ending of Area 2, enemies drop like punks to you... Well, they did for me anyway, but then again I used Birdie/Mad Dog/Nern and Birdie is OP as hell.

I'm using Beastborn, Rooster, and Terry at the moment. I heard Terry got a special line if you still have him at the end, so I'm using him even though he sucks so badly and dies so easily. Where was Birdie at? Or is he in Area 2?

Birdie is in the underground bar. You need a bottle of whiskey to get him.

And yes, he's in area 2 iirc. For the beginning part of the game, make sure to grab Olan at the first bar. He's worth the mags, dude is pro.

I'm grabbing everyone I can find on the first playthrough so I'm free to pick n' choose on the second without worrying about achievements.

Yep. I've been told Nern falls off later cause his damage isn't that great, but honestly with his ability to just throw 30 TP at Birdie and Mad Dog at any given moment, who needs damage rofl.
