Are save points always so far apart?
I'm loving the hell out of this game, but I just lost a big chunk of progress to riding my bike off a ledge (had just got it and wasn't used to the different speed yet). It was probably upwards of an hour of playtime lost, because I used a save point that I probably should have waited until later to.

If they are always this rare, then I'll know to be more careful, but so far that's the only really annoying thing in this game, I'm loving everything else.

You chose to play in Pain Mode where the save points disappear after use. If you choose normal, they're always there and you can go back to them whenever you want.

Ah, that makes sense! Pain mode seemed like the natural way to play, I hadn't anticipated it affecting the saves like that. I'm not that far in, I may just restart on Normal then. It's a hassle to have to keep playing until you find a save when you've been ready to quit for a minute.

Yeah, I think Pain Mode is designed more for a second playthrough. It's probably better to do Normal your first time.

Yeah, it is nice to not have to worry about them the first time. It shouldn't take too long to get back to the bike area on a repeat try.
