The only way is to avoid going there and starting the event.

The event is just a silly scene anyway though (meaning it's just for humor and doesn't actually effect anything anywhere else), so you don't have to worry about it. Matches are dangerous.

Gasoline solves all orphan related problems.

The guy from the orphanage also appears in a certain flashback. We get to see the most tragic thing to happen in his life.

Remember Horrace? He's the guy you fight in the end of the bulldozer fight. In his flashback before the fight begins it's revealed that he took Morrace's (the guy from the orphange) bulldozer diploma; the most tragic thing to happen in his life.
