This game does have some resource management issues, though tens of thousands if not more have managed to get through it just fine, so I think you may be overstating the difficulty a tad.
If you're actually interested in playing the game, then you can ask us for tips and advice and we may help (from what you said, main thing I can say is that you're not very far in, so you may want to switch to normal mode so you can save more frequently, and that firebombs aren't needed to jump the gap, they're just really helpful for getting the bike), though if all you want to do is complain, you'd likely be better off just using Steam's refund feature and moving on.
But, ive wasted a ♥♥♥♥ load of my time on it with nothing to show for it.
I am PARTIALLY to blame. BUT ultimatly, my feelings of the game are that it sucked because of a lack of available information.
You may hate the game now cause you wasted time on it, though you can always give it another chance on normal mode, where the experience will likely be a lot better for you; it'd likely be pretty quick to regain progress too, since you already know what to do for the early stuff. If you don't want to, that's fine, but I wouldn't see much point wasting even more of your time complaining if that is the case.
Oh, did you hear that? That's the sound of hubris meeting reality. Sort of a dull, wet smack, like useless meat hitting a concrete wall.
Also the game comes out and says it's gonna be. And little bit of digging into forum will show what the difference between a normal and painful play is like.
Now I have 100% on that game (or I had, before the Eternal Damnation update striked in) and his remake is my favorite game.
Come on, give it a chance, it's worth the time.
Also a little story that might make you feel better.
In a part of the game theres a wrestling section, where you can farm XP infinetly.
I decided to level up to the max every character I had, it took me like 9 or 10 hours.
It ended up being a prank from the developer, two hours latter I reached the ending and I only used 2 of the 24 o 25 party members I leveled up.
Then I saw an ending that can make cry even the people that have seen Aeris death.
Honestly, Brad is capable of getting to the end by himself without any party members.
Just sit the F down and start the game on normal mode. It's a great game if you'll give it a chance.
