Another name was Han Tsunami, the leader of the Devil's Bath Boys. This is similar to Buff's group, but the thing that throws me off is that the entrance is guarded by a strong member of Rando's guard, making me think that they have at least some ties to Rando.
Finally, Hawk Hollywood. We know he had some power, again being one of the 4 final bosses in the game, but he doesn't seem particularly dangerous. (read: "We follow Hawk, but we don't like him" and "good job, he was really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying") Furthermore, he is NOT dead at the end of LtP, unless you consider Pain Mode canon.
So there we are, 3 totally unrelated gangs with unrelated motivations. The only reasoning I can think of is that the clans listed are the ones big enough to know of Buddy's existence, and are therefore powerful enough to capture her.
Perhaps they are simply rival clans to the Rando army, and she is now continuing in their stead, to eliminate any possible threats and ensure her safety. It doesn't explain everything, and certainly can't be the only motivation, but it's a start.
This assumes that Hawk Hollywood is canonically dead, and that Buff died in the final fight or simply disbanded his gang and was forgotten.
That'd make sense if Fardy's name wasn't on there.
The list is weird as hell, honestly, I can't make heads or tails of it. Gang leaders? Possible leads to answers? Just killin' ♥♥♥♥???
Maybe Buddy will receive in the beggining an anonymous message, that says: "Kill all the guys on this list and the world is saved and you get to rule it" (remember "All alone in the world you own").
That's a cool theory. Buddy believes that she is a saviour (also, she took some Joy - we don't know whether that changes things in any way, but I'd assume it does change her perception a bit), so she may want to prove herself and really make a difference in Olathe. In other words, she's going to become a ninja/assassin, lol.
Perhaps Brad taught her some moves while they were still living together, off-screen. Buzzo remarks at one point how impressive/resilient she is, so maybe that's the reason - or maybe the Joy she took made her into an ultimate warrior. I can't think of any other explanation right now. :D
I don't think it's likely for Brad to teach her moves. Brad was VERY protective. He didn't even view her being found as a possibility.
Well, perhaps this issue will be clarified in the starting area. I guess that Brad would make a fine tutorial boss, but I may be mistaken. At least she could put the poor guy out of his misery for good...
