Advice for grinding for Mags?

I am loving this game but I never have enough mags to buy new equipment. I am fine with it if this scarcity is part of the game,but am I missing out on ways to get mags?

If you're doing a joyless mode then sell all your joy for 10 mags a piece. Also cigarettes sell for 25 mags each and you rarely get poisoned. Plus other people have skills that can cure you. Shadowy figure s also always drop 10 mags each and are easy to fight. My strategy was to get my members I want to keep, find as many members you don't care about and make over 2k mags Russian rouletting till you kill all the roulette gang.

If you're still early in the game though just go for shadowy figures.

Also the wrestlers right before Area 3 give 0-35 mags per round. I'm rakin in the cheddar and earning some exp too.
