Change equipment

mind sound like a dumb question but how do i change equipment after buying it? thanks in advance

Go to the menu (X or ESC key) > select "Equipment and hit confirm (Z, spacebar, enter) > Select the ally you want to equip and hit confirm, and you can likely figure out the rest from there.

If the issue's not finding that menu, but that you've bought or found something and can't equip it, then it's likely that the ally you're trying to equip it on can't use it, since each character can only use certain types of weapons and armor. For example, Brad can only use armband weapons, and only uses ponchos for armor.
