Best Team for Oil Abuse?, Min/Max
I can't bring myself to just play the game and not worry about it. I need to know what you all think is the best Oil+Fire set up is. I'm currently using two armed Brad, Nern, RT, and of course Birdie. Nern is great especially as an enabler for Birdie and as such the Fire users. With Nern I can always get Oil up in the first 2 rounds and he can give Birdie some wiggle room to be able to use some Tumbles. RT seemed like the best option for a Fire user, I've already got healing and cleansing from Nern and Birdie and RT has all the status effects.

So I suppose these are my questions:

Would using a third fire user be better than Nern?

Are there other fire users better than RT?

Would only having brad as a fire user make birdie outclassed by someone else?

Would I really just be better off without leaning on Oil? And if so, who should I use?

Is my need for perfection and reassurance for my choices a sign of some deeper psychological problems?

The best fire user is Terry, because he has the Hottest Dance. :hintlord: Oil + Hottest Dance = Legit best combo ever.

I Found Brad regardless of arm count still does a mean fireball even in withdraw, Birdie, Geese and Mad Dog in tandum can end pretty much end any fight in like 5 turns, Geese is optional i found Nern and Terry work just as well if not better, but Geese is reliable where Oil can't be setup quickly like stuns and trips on birdie and has crazy good speed coverage.

I ran Birdie-Terry-Nern when I went the oil bomb route. Terry just wrecks, but you kind of need Nern to keep his SP up unless you're going to just keep popping items instead. Terry just does too much damage to not include him if you're going for an optimal build, imo.

I think Mad Dog + RT + Birdie is a good party. You can use Lucrative Tea or whatever the item is that increases TP, but generally Birdie has enough TP for spitting gas and Mad Dog can smash people with 0 TP just fine. Mad Dog has some vicious bleed attacks along with fireballs. He also gets a lot of TP just from attacking, and most of his weapons have a base chance for status effects. RT has a gigantic 40 SP fireball that does a ton of damage, plus quite a few status effects if you want them. That's if you don't mind having a dirty hobo child molester in your party. They both have good HP and defensive stats as well, compared to Terry who never has good HP or defensive stats, or well... any good stats ever.
