Joyful Achievements

I wrote Achievement Guide for Joyful here.
Correct me if anything is wrong.

I tried several times to get the "I'm Sorry" achievement, and couldn't do it. I tried releasing the rope and not releasing the rope, and neither worked for me. I am pretty sure (but others can confirm) that you have to trust Rando in the beginning.

Thanks i'll check it out, i didnt trust Rando but i will try to get the Im Sorry achievment. I will report back once I tried

Okay I can confirm now that I got the im sorry achievement even though I didnt trust Rando

Can you say exactly what you did to get the achievement? I can't seem to get it. I killed sindy last do you think that affects it?

You need to get the "Source" achievement first, meaning you have to get the Joyful mask then find the Joy lab. THEN you go back to Rando's corpse once you finish the list.

EDIT: Well, you have to be wearing the Joy mask. Don't know if you need "Source" though. I was standing next to Rando's corpse, nothing was there, then I put the mask on and Brad appeared.

I got the source achievement before but not I also got the I'm sorry on a playthrough where I didn't enter the joy Lab. I do believe you need to at least be in possession of the mask. If not wear it and reenter the room.

Yeah it worked! thank you! It's kind of an important detail to leave out (the joy mask i mean), did everybody just walk around wih that mask?

The joy mask is the one you need to put on, so don't bother with the others. Not sure if it makes a difference, but you could try putting the mask on before entering the area with Rando's fallen corpse, since it's possible the trigger may only be upon entering the area.

To get the I'M SORRY Achievement.

I didn't let Rando fall, then I went down and killed him, after that i got the JOY mask and went there WITH THE MASK ON, you can see Brad weeping next to Rando's body, I talked to Rando and only said "he is dead", but then I tried to talk to Brad, got the Achievement and Brad dissapear.

Only thing I'm missing is the "No friends". Do you need to get the Ranger Helmet before finishing the list to make that guy appear at his spot?

As for the "I'm sorry", I didn't trust him in the beginning, and I didn't let Rando go to fight the guy. Not sure what the problem is for you jeicex.

Just tried to get "I'm Sorry" with the mask on, and it totally worked. Thanks for the tips! This was on my didn't-trust-Rando save file.

Yeah, you must get Green Helmet and talk to him before finishing The List. I though it was obvious, cause I wrote in the guide "after finishing The List, visit him again".

For "I'm Sorry" it looks like that you must finish "The Source" achievement requirements too (Father overrides Lisa anyway).

Got it. I had to hold on to Rando, and then go down and kill him, and then finish the last name (big L, saving the best for last). Then, I went back to Rando's body while wearing the Joy Mask and Brad was hanging out there, and I talked to Brad's ghost and the achievement popped.

Actually, it doesn't matter. In the beginning of the game, I did trust him, and released Rando's rope when Bolo came. Brad's vision still appeared.

Yeah it appears that no choice made in the game impeeds getting any ending. The one thing that I don't see confirmed is if you have to get "The Source" first. Just go to Rando's corpse with the mask and you're good. Though maybe you have to go down after him immediately and kill him to get it to work?

Maybe you need to visit him before finishing The List too. In the second choice (release rope) you can't talk to him, he is already dead.

EDIT: Well, I don't get it. I loaded up the save where I was doing "Lisa" ending. I just visited his corpse with the mask and saw Brad's vision. And I believe I didn't visit him before. Moreover, I didn't do anything to try to save him. He just eventually fell. That's strange.
