Terry Hintz Therory [SPOILERS]
So we all know that in LISA: The Painful, Terry Hintz pretty much loves Brad. Even if you gave him up in the beginning or not, his final words always have something like: "I loved you Brad."
But there is definantly something more to this, in a "secert" area of the game, which you unlock by going into a cave and defeating a joy mutant named Arty. Here you will find Terry Land, pretty much where Terry lives/lived. You also can find hints that seem to indicate that Terry was very lonley and had depression, and also caliming that he had "fans," but obviously Terry doesn't have any actual fans... Maybe this is why he loved Brad, becuase it was the only friend he made in years.

What I don't understand is why Terry never took joy to solve his problem, we all know joy is bad, yes. But Terry had no knowledge of this, was he just unable to get any joy? DID he know about the joys effects?

How dare you. Terry is a clean, life-loving family man. He would never resort to abusing substances.

Terry was lonely, he was around no other people, how would he have access to Joy? Usually the Joy is provided by other people. Even then, Joy isn't a permanent thing. Terry could keep taking it all he wanted, but in the end the effects would always fade and the depression would return. This is probably why you find him in a tree next to a cliff in Painful, as he was about to kill himself.

(Thank goodness that balloon was there to stop him, and also Brad.)

My theory.

Terry was NOT a lair. He had countless fans. They worshiped him upon his mattress throne in his little Terry Land, following every hint he left. However, one fateful day, Terry mysteriously disappeared (along with his balloon). His fans, lost without their idol, were distraught and had nothing to do. They tried creating mannequins in his honor, but they couldn't cover up the missing Sweet Terry Wine. They even tried replicating his wonderful hints: no luck. The guilt from falsifying those hints and their missing God drove them all insane. With nowhere else to turn, the fans either left to scatter Olathe, searching for their idol, or committed suicide right by the throne.

Terr Bear was right all along. Maybe I am a jerk for giving him away to Columbo (but come on Terry, you didn't need to kill Fardy. Or Garth in my other run. Or Buckets in my other OTHER run. Meanie.)

So if Cheeselegs,(That dog in the beginning.) Didn't bark at Terry, getting Brad's attention, would have Terry died?
