LISA JOYFUL SECRET ENDING and theories!
Hey guys, just wanted to see if anyone else got the special ending on JOYFUL. After finding some extra TNT hiding behind a bush in an odd warp area that plays W2D's signature song, then multiple hidden areas that leads to Buzzo's gang, and a JOY mask that you can equip, you can then travel to ANOTHER hidden area with the joy mask on that unlocks lab doors that brings you to Lisa's coffin, with a note left by Buzzo. Upon leaving, you play as Buzzo for a few frames and hear some dialogue from Lisa, leading him up to the JOY Brad and him breaking down. After that you continue the game like normal until the very end. Then after the credits you get some dialogue between Buzzo and Lisa, where Lisa tell's Buzzo to cut off a dog's paw and then to cut her. Freaky stuff. But as far as my theory!! I think everyone knows at this point "Lisa" is Austin Jorgenson's (Dingaling's) terrible past relationship. If you go back and look at his personal pictures on his Facebook, you can see an extreme likeness of him and the child Buzzo. I believe that Austin is Buzzo. Not to mention, I noticed Olate is just Loathe re-arranged. So Austin probably loathes the real Lisa and resents their relationship and Buzzo is the part of Austin that was completely obsessed over her and couldn't let go. But back to the ending dialogue. Cutting off the dog's paw. Lisa started his obsession with the removal of body parts, well Brad's arms in particular. It kind of gives me an errie feeling that maybe that could have been something extremely personal that could have happened to him in real life. I don't know, maybe I'm going to far. But if you've been a champ and read all the way down through this, I'd love anyones input on any of this. Thanks!

I thought Olathe was in Kansas? Interesting theory, tho.

The "Secret" ending you're referring to is a well known ending for The Joyful, you get the "Lisa" achievement for getting that ending, so it's not exactly an unknown thing. Interesting theory, I never really got the "resentful of past relationship" vibe, nor have I taken the time to go and research it. But you bring up some very interesting points, and we can only wait to see if Dingaling gives any input.

Ahhh, I didn't realize it was that well known yet, I just thought it was hidden so well. Then again, people who enjoy games like this are the ones that are bound to bump into every wall. Metroid trained me well lol. Anyways, as far as the past relationship thing, I found an interview with him talking about the first game and it got brought up. She was obviously a very emotional and devistated girl, I've had similar relationships in my past. But his seems to supercede a lot of other stories I've heard. When Buzzo say's "He was supposed to be the light", that has to be Austin thinking that about his Lisa. Then some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up things happened between them and it didn't work out.

Austin did say during an interview on youtube that he had broken up with a girl before starting Lisa the First. But he didn't say the relationship had anything to do with the content of the game. I dunno, you should probably watch the whole thing for yourself. On youtube search 'Austin Jorgensen interview LISA' and it will be the first result to come up. It's really insightful and I think every fan should watch it.
why are you to lazy to link it

I kinda remember him saying that Marty was inspired by her problem (never told what it was) and how it always came up in everything she did. Kinda like how everyone and many non-living things in Lisa the First have Marty's head.

Why are you too lazy to spellcheck and grammar?

Yeah, that's really what I was getting at. I mean, if she didn't effect him and the series, why else would it be named after her, not to mention Brad and Buzzo's obsession over her. I doubt he'll go into explicit black and white detail with something that's probably really personal to him. The clues are there, most of them very obvious. I don't know how anyone would think it didn't have anything to do with them game.

1. Olathe is in Kansas
2. As far as we know the only inspiration he drew from was to brad(Austin is/was a karate instructor).
3. You went too far Bro, I doubt he'd personify as buzzo.

Maybe we shouldn't make assumptions about Austin's personal life? Olathe is a town in Colorado though. Coincidentally, there's also an Olathe in Kansas.

Whoa, amazing theory, but I doubt that it's based off something Austin actually went through. :rickweeks:

Actually according to a story he told in some interviews he was in a sortof "Buzzo situation" IRL. Without the arm fetish of course I guess :p

Thank you, that's exactly what I was about to say lol. I mean hell, back when he was launching LISA, there were comments from his family even mentioning something about not letting go of a past break up. I dig way too far into things, I know.
