I can't download LISA: The Joyful

I bought the DLC, but when I try to dowload it Steam says I already have it in my library but it says that the DLC is not downloaded yet, how do I fix this?

Make sure in the game's properties the DLC is set to installed, after that you can also try verifying your game cache which should trigger a download of any missing assets on your end.

A point of confusion might also be that the launch options that let you select the DLC only come up if you use the Play button in your library, alternatively you can select the launch option for the DLC by right clicking on the game's entry in your library.

I just purchased Lisa the Joyful, and it wont start downloading. I checked the DLC status and it says "not installed", but the download wont initiate. I tried to verify my cache and I've tried clicking on the big play button, and I tried launching it by right clicking on it in the library and it still just launches the vanilla LISA (I believe the iteration with Brad is technically LISA the painful, right?). Anyway, I totally fell in love with LISA and I am dying to see how the story continues!!! Please help!

It happen pretty often with Steam DLCs. They apply pretty bizarrely. Just wait, maybe. And check what Daverball said.
