Hawk Hollywood is killing me.... I just want to finish the game
So I'm trying to finish but I'm stuck in the fight against Hawk Hollywood I have fought him at least 20 times and I always lose. Most of my party is either dead or captured, and I have 1 mag left. I have Brad (lvl 22), Queen (14), Fardy (12), Tiger Man (16), and Garth (9). Queen and Tiger Man always miss because of withdrawal and Garth isn't very helpful for the fight. I would be able to power through it if he didnt heal all the time....... I can only do max about 1,500 per turn, but usually average 300-500. Fardy is the only one doing big damage when he hits. I have some soup and a Cola. I don't want to play the entire game over again, and I don't have time to just grind. I've already put 10 hours in, and I just want to finish. How do I beat him????

Your team is the problem.

What solutions do I have?

You can't skip the fight, right?

Change out some party members. Most of your members have withdrawal, and the only one that can ever hope on dealing consistent damage is Brad, since your offensive party members all have withdrawal.

Those are all my party members. The only good living ones are captured and I don't have the money to save them.

How well did you explore around? Unless you had 26 different party members get captured and die, you likely missed multiple, some of which may be more helpful than your current ones even without any extra training.

Use status effects, that deal damage, main advantage Hawk has is his regeneration, continious damage from status effects nullifies that.

You missed a ton of characters. Equip Queen with The Homer or buy him a nice bat from the merchant right before Hawk. His multiattack with The Homer equipped is almost a guaranteed stun against anyone. Tiger's best weapon is sold by that merchant as well, if I recall correctly. You can do the wrestling matches to get enough mags, or sell some garbage items you don't want. Go recruit Shocklord and replace that deadbeat Fardy. If you already won the wrestling, you can go back and fight the Shadowy Figures for 10mags each.

Give everyone except that jerk Fardy a Joy right before the fight. Diesel Firebombs do a ton of damage.

Make sure everyone is well equipped. There are some items hidden around Area 3 that will help out.
I agree that you should try to find some more party members. If you haven't found him already, Birdie can be a great addition. I used his oil attack coupled with Brad's fireball against Hawk Hollywood, and it worked pretty well.

If you need mags to rescue teammates and buy items, you can go back to Area 1 and farm Shadowy Figures in the long black corridor that leads to where you find the bicycle. They give about 10 mags each, I seem to recall, and they're pretty easy to beat. Hope you get through it all!

Okay, thanks guys! I didn't realize there were so many party members.
If you're having problems with the base game, you're going to hate the DLC.

Not necessarily. DeVita7's problem was lack of effective party members, which can't be a problem in the DLC as there are no party members to be lacking in and the DLC is designed around this. You're also one of only two people who I've seen have such trouble with the game as to be unable to finish it, so it's more likely DeVita would be able to finish it (if perhaps with some struggle) than they would be unable to. Joyful is probably overall harder than Painful (if less cruel in that there is no chance of party permadeath), but I wouldn't say it's downright unfair.

(By the way, let it be known I'm not intending to argue against you so much, I just have an absurd amount of time to waste and poor judgment in wasting that time.)
