I don't think this is just a design mistake either because you always have the child in the non-mutant ending, so it just doesn't make sense that Boio had anything to do with it.

Also, no one seems to have noticed that Yado actually saves your ass dude :p.

Buddy has the child whether or not you held onto Rando in the good ending, so.
