Will the Definitive Edition include Lisa the First?

It seems like The Painful & The Joyful will be included, But I can't tell by the trailer if the original is also being redone.

The trailer showed multiple portions from Painful and Joyful, but didn't have a single thing from Lisa The First, so probably not.

Not really. LISA the First was Austin's test game inspired by Yume Nikki, Brad's room doesn't even exist there. The creepy/suggestive stuff is not directly telling much of narrative.

Painful is the fledged out edition of the story and has a solid amount of exposition. I'd argue some stuff is meant to be obscure, much like First isn't that direct.

It's also a free game which is still available for anyone to download on RPGMaker.net, so there's not really any more preservation needed than that.

LISA the First is an entirely different beast to tackle and I wouldn't be surprised if it's not included given how drastically different it is in both gameplay and tone.

First is far more dreadful in its depiction of its themes, where Painful and Joyful are far more forgiving with the interesting world and humor. I'm a huge LISA dork and even I don't think I could stomach First.

I play Lisa the First way before even Painful was a thing... That makes me feel very old.
