when given the chose at the start of the game what is the dif between letting rando in control or buddy?

It change a scene later on. Without getting too spoiler, you're offered a choice. If you don't choose "hold on" when the choice is offered to you, Buddy can talk with Rando, and the earlier decision on whether or not to trust Rando will determine what kind of conversation they have.

I thought this was in the first version before the update, but Rando would say encouraging things when you beat enemies after battles, as opposed to just "..." when you put Rando in control.

If you trust Rando Buddy gets a Rando mask that hides her face. Without it, when you interact with bars or shop-keeps they will fight you instead of letting you buy stuff. Not trusting him looks like hard mode.
