We Happy Few stole the Joy?

While watching the trailer gameplay for We Happy Few during the Microsoft E3 conference I noticed how the people in that world would use a drug called joy to forget everything about their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ lives and stay jolly. Now does that concept ring a bell?

I can understand that the idea of using a drug to be happy wasn't invented by Ding, not even it's generalised use on a population ( as that was probably the work of Huxley with Soma in Brave new world ), but the name ''Joy'' seems like an outright theft.

I'm not saying the game should be put down in any way for this, as it probably isn't that important, but if I don't see Buzzo in one of those masks, I swear to god

maybe it's just in the lisa world, but before/after lisa (either before flash or after flash) cause before flash, there would still be joy mutants but after lisa they could have marketed the joy vaccine to everybody and rebuilt
