His lack of SP and HP won't let him take hits or support the whole party long enough.
It would be better to switch him out with a better support character, like Bo.
But after a few levels he starts to gain a lot of useful Skills: Verbal Smash( Cry and Rage at the same time can save you ass), Weather Advice (A free Fallen stat on a enemy is always welcome), all his Knuckles (Yeah, they start weak but a good Crit can do a lot of damage) and the one Skills that gives a Character a lot of Crits.
By the time he gets Hot Dance, Birdie had to be in your Party and with Gasoline Spit, can start to do real serious damage (at the cost of leaving him without SP after 3 or 4 Attacks).
At the moment you get Hottest Dance...hell, you have finished the game already.
