Russian Roulette

Is the Russian Roulette random or scripted? I may have just gotten insanely lucky.

I put Beastborn for all 3.

First Round: click, click, click, click, boom. enemy dies.

Second round: boom. enemy dies

Third round: boom. enemy dies.

Just about died laughing

EDIT: Well I died and re-did it, and got different results. I guess its not scripted, just heavily weighted?

Round 1: boom. enemy dies
2: boom. enemy dies
3: click, click, boom. enemy dies.

It's random. You definitely got lucky there. Over something like 5 playthroughs, I averaged around 2 party members dying during those forced matches.

Timing is probably an issue here. If you hit the triggers in the same rythm, the results might be different.
But yes, I also feel that the first three rounds are weighted somehow. If you continue to play more rounds, the chances feel more even.

Yeah after my second attempt I didn't press my luck, but I didn't realize until much later that I could have gotten the buckethead guy on the roof. Feelsbad.

I'll just have to be more adamant about sacrificing beastborn next time...

On my first walkthrough, I missed Buckets too. As well as the whole fish town. But still, it's a better experience without a guide the first time, even if you miss some content.

The same thing happened with me.. and none of them died. I don't think I used beastborn on that playthrough though. RNG was just being very fortunate with me at the time. of course I reset my game's progress later on though because I had ended up killing more people than I had actually wanted to.. and so goes the story of LISA: The "Painful"

Though this is an old thread, I wanted to say: thank you, OP
I used beastmaster because of you, and I got through without anyone dying to the roulette
I was getting terrible RNG, but for whatever reason, beastmaster works!
