Hardest boss in the game?

I just beat the game, and it was great. The final boss was a little to easy for my taste but the ending was fantastic. Before I head into joyful I was wondering what you guys thought the hardest boss in the game was. A lot of people say Satan is the hardest, but I found him extremely easy. I think the handsome guy was probably the hardest for me. Also, is Brad dead?

Yeah, his constant healing and KO's were hard at first, but like most bosses you find out how to beat him easily. This is my first real turn based rpg, and I found it quite enjoyable and not as difficult as some say it is. My only problem is that everyone turns against you in the end, when in reality at least a few guys should have stood by you like true bros, Terry was the hardest emotional hit I took in the game probably, and of course the "Did I do the right thing?" Ya did Brad, ya did.

I think what's really great about the Joyful is that it gives you the flipped perspective of Brad and Buddy's relationship, and it reveals some very interesting things about both of them. You might become more uncertain of your thoughts behind that final question :P .

I personally think he did, even though his intentions werent that true. Humanity is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ even with one woman, becuase it would just become incestuous and deformed. The only thing that matters now is taking care of who you love, and Buddy was too young to realize that. Brad could also not know for sure that Buddy was safe, all he knew was that the overlord of the wasteland had Buddy, and the whole world wanted to use Buddy for breeding. If my daughter was going to be kept as a sex slave, I would kill every single person who was in my way of protecting her. Humanity doesnt deserve to be saved, but Buddy does.

In all honesty, this game isn't as hard as everyone says it is. I beat Painful and Joyful, both without joy, and sacrificing everything to save my friends, on the first try. I never play turn based rpgs either, so I was a noob on top of that. I guess I was just lucky?

You where just extremely lucky with Satan.

What's special about him is that he can permakill your party members in one hit, at any moment of the fight.

I had to load multiple times to beat him without loosing any party members. Sometimes he permakilled at the first two turns of the fight, sometimes in the middle, and sometimes right before I killed him.

So, is satan the hardest boss? (At least in The Painfull) I wouldn't doubt it.

Did you use birdy? It seems like he is an overpowered party character, doing group healing and helping Brad pull off 1000-3000 damage every turn. Maybe burning stops Satan from doing his insta kill attack. With debuffs it's easy to curb those moves on most bosses.

Those 5 guys who say mate in area one who try to rob you of all your mags are the hardest imo.

Every other boss is easy because you become so overpowered later.
