That would be a different challenge, which has been proposed: reach -500 rep with all factions. Or, in your case, all but one faction.

This one seems a little easier than most. I looked in two current midgame saves I had (level 23 captain, level 28 captain, both difficulty hard). One of them has three qualifying contacts at 100 (alta mesa prince, zenrin prince, moklumnue trade czar); the other has two qualifying at 100 and another at 88 (devaltos magnate, cadar high prince, 88 influence thulun smuggler princess).

To increase the score but end the run, I could hire a couple of random spice hall crew from the right factions, and promote them. Except for that, the first one is already the max achievable score for the difficulty.

I don't think there's a max score. Personal Reputation isn't capped. The challenge's own screenshot shows a 257 p.rep. I've gotten Calagan higher than that.

Your 100s and 88 are the Contacts' Influence. Influence doesn't score points this month. 80+ means they're eligible, and the 88 means you don't get the bonus multiplier for having all 3 at 90+, but other than that, it doesn't affect your score.

Oh, I missed that the "qualification" is > 80 influence, but the "score" is p.rep. Never mind.

That was a goal we had when setting up the rules for this challenge, that you'd be able to pull existing save games and check for high scores.

Since it's easy, I would love to see your high score and screenshots posted :P *prod* *prod* *wink* *wink*

score: 867 p.rep total * 1.1 (all over 90 influence) * 1.25 (officers) * 1.75 (hard) = 2086

The crew *was* somewhat surprised when a low-level e-tech from a rarely visited faction suddenly got promoted to officer.

I had to start a new run due to computer switches. It's always a given that Calagen ♥♥♥♥ and Kober Volpane will always hit the 600s-700s after the Jyeets been defeated.

My next highest dude is the Templar contact but I don't know if you are considering them or the Hunn as possible factions. He did say those troops that were lost were under his command so technically, he's a commander...

it would have been nice to tie it to either a map V2 or a new game, as right now it favors old savegames. You can simply load a 3y old savegame and write down the scores.... hardly a challenge ;)

In that case, post one up! @davea said the same thing but then to be honest posted a low score due to his 3rd contact only having 6 PRep.

Let's see what that 3 year old saved game has!

The contact types are specific on the list, so Fleet Commander and Heir are not included, neither is Templar Militant.

I mean if we want to be a real hard *** that could easily be taken from different games... (Not actually accusing you, just giving you crap :D)
