Cheat Engine

So, I know this has been discussed a little bit, but I'm going to bring it up again. I like to cheat, make games easier, change them up, or get through a difficult mission sometimes, but I can't seem to get cheat engine to work here. Did the devs change the game so cheat engine no longer works? I've heard other people say they could get it to work on most things just using 4 byte searches, easy, but I can't seem to get anything.

Most likely case is that in-game numbers (such as hp/xp/$ etc) are all rounded so they can be displayed nicely. The value displayed might be 17.5k, where as the actual value might be 17,524.262

For something similar you could simply play on custom difficulty so the game is suited to how you want to play it.

Cheat engine ALWAYS works, you litterally can't build a game where it doesn't. Like Venom said however you can obfuscate the actual numbers vs the numbers displayed, the key in making it work is figure out the math that is used to change the display numbers. I'm sure table makers will do that in time.

Hmm, I thought that only applied to multiplayer games that could ruin the experience or circumvent game rules to give an unfair advantage over others. I've never seen any posts related to cheating or hacking in a single player game cause any issue in a Steam discussion forum before, so I was unaware this was a thing. I've deleted my comment. =]
