Ship in Drydock, how do i select it?

I have bought a new ship, but how do i change over to it?

Next to "buy new ship" button on the landing zone is the dry dock button. Click it to see a list of your ships in dry dock. Select the ship on the left then click "launch" to take command. You might need to upgrade its crew and officer quarters first.

If you're looking for it later, check your main ship status > drydock. This lets you set a waypoint to the ship's location.

ok cool. So ive bought the ship and it says 300,000 next to it in the drydock, is that how much i need to get it up to scratch?

@hamil99 - can you post a screenshot? You may be referencing the price you could sell it back to the starport for.

sorry i was on the wrong bloody planet. I assumed when i bought the ship id automatically be in it, and it wasnt till i entered combat that i noticed i was in fact still in my original ship. So back i went to launch my new ship, only i went to one system across a wondered why i couldnt launch my ship... dumb ass!

@hamil99 - switching into a ship is a big decision, as it comes out of the starport with only stock components. Usually, captains want to effect some upgrades before swapping in.

Yeah im starting to think jumping straight into the new ship without much money was not the best idea. Finding it very difficult to build up money now!

Can you jump back to the old one?

I do have a save i might utilise, but ill keep going at the mo and hope for some luck. Really enjoying the game by the way!

Oh my god, I never sold my old ship, and it's on the other side of the map! Rookie error!

Still, things are going well now, I started destroying all Rychart ships I encountered and built my money up. They hated me anyway, so why not lol.

I'll definitely let my mates know about it. I've never wrote a review before, but I might give it a go.
