Regardless, I've found a crude workaround for now that doesn't involve uninstalling Realtek drivers. Just disable Realtek in the Device Manager, launch the game, then re-enable the drivers. Obviously this means that the game won't have any sound whatsoever, but it's a small price to pay to be able to play.
I'm using windows 7 (64bit), Nvidia geforce 1060, CPU i7-3770 3,40Ghz
Everything is up to date, i uninstall realtek drivers, reinstall the game on a different hard disk, reinstall 2012 visual stuff x64 and x86, try to start steam and the game in admin mode, turn off anti-spyware or others programs like that....
Each time i start the game i have a white screen and after 3 second the error reports.
Sorry to hear it. Please send in the crash report and we will try to fix.
By "same issue" do you mean you have Realtek audio and if you disable it, the game works?
i did try a lot of things but i manage to fix it by Updating realtek driver to version 6.0.1.8454 (latest version).
If it still doesn't work, if you have a TV with HDMI cable (computer screen doesn't make sound, but TV with HDMI cable have some sound driver integrated) try connect your PC then launch game and disconnect TV. It did work for me but you will have to launch game trough TV everytime but sound will work fine even if you disconect TV.
Hope it can help some.
i9-14900kf with 4090.
all drivers are updated.
Sorry to hear you're having the issue. The game has been fantastically stable for years. The only know issue that can cause what you're describing at this point is a realtek audio chip driver issue which has in fact, been around since 2017 and is fixed by updating drivers or converting to the windows generic sound driver.
