The only differences in the game are in UI scaling (and re-org as needed) as well as input controls. All content is the same. Yes, lots of players have tried it on mobile :D
Here is a link to the 5/5 star review on Pocket Tactics -

Let's be clear, it's a real jewel.
The only tiny nitpicks i have are only about the galaxy map. On a smaller phone screen, it's a little hard to tell the difference between the icons for the different planet settlement types (although i got used to it soon enough) or to tell the difference at a glance between the two blue & gold factions.
like one size less and i couldnt read it anymore. a bit stressful for the eyes with a 5.9" screen.
It's exactly what I want out a mobile game: a purchase price that is all inclusive with no in game purchases between me and the actual game, a variety of play styles strategy preferences, a game that doesn't punish you for being the bad guy, and turn based combat.
I don't usually by mobile game, because, for the most part, they aren't worth the money, or the game is just a grind for coins to continue to grind more efficiently for coins in order to use coins to play a slot machine for a different character to use while grinding coins.
This game is just fun to play. I even enjoy the challenge of the unlocks.
I really should get around to reviewing it on the Google Play store.
Bless you for this. I actually only buy mobile games with an upfront fee and no in-game purchases. I can’t stand being nickel and dimed to death. I have no issue paying an upfront and known cost for games.
I own the game on PC and on my iPad. I play Star Traders almost exclusively on the iPad because there are so few good games for mobile.
I gave it 5 stars 🌟
