it died likely due to the immense costs, leading to brickforce becoming a money drain on the company, which ultimately led to its shutdown. They stated themself, they had a very hard time hiring developers to work for them, likely leading to low wages and costcutting, with the process just worsening over time as the game hadnt been making enough money to keep them afloat. Everyone wanted the game updated and also critical bugs and hacks patched, but there wasnt really anyone there to do so. i dont have any information on infernum, the company behind it, itself but i believe that the ultimate cause might have been incompetence and greed on their end.
