How to install 1.3 [easy 1 step solution]

I made a very easy to use installer that cuts out all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that comes with trying to install 1.3 with steam, it is set up to install under the directory "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common". If you have steam installed on a secondary drive or have it installed under a library drive you will need to find your common folder on your own there is no DRM with this installer so you don't have to worry about starforge exploding windows.

Update: Anyone running a Nvidia card will need to download and install the legacy PhysX driver from the link below to get 1.3 to run on thier PC.

P.S. Yada Yada Yada, I do not condone pirating the game, please buy it through steam and support the people who made it, do not blame the devs for the horrible DRM blame starforce as a publisher(thank god they are dead).

Like will steam auto apply patch 1.3 and then not run because it is set up for the old ageia physx instead of nvidia physx? Like how other ageia physx based games give me problems ever since Nvidia stepped up and took over the miracle that is PHYSX!

steam installed 1.2 which has no support for PhysX, installing my patch will require you to install the legacy drivers I posted under my installer. All my installer does is keep the DRM removed when updating to 1.3, any other installer will install the starforce DRM which causes catastrophic windows issues as well as opens up backdoors into your core system that allows people to actally change your voltages and fry your system.

wow, I had tried installing my damn cd version and I hope I got rid of starforce.... so steam version also has damn starforce??

No, Steam does not have starforce. However untill I edited the 1.3 update installer it attempted to install it.

THX Chinchy the patch work perfect i played for test 1 2 and half third level no crash nothing THX A LOT!!!! :) to work the patch also set language to english...i'm italian and to fix i have to set english very good job !

Anyone that is wanting to play on the BOS server I will be bringing up will need this patch. If you have any questions or issues with the installer please do not hesitate to PM me or post in this discussion. Steam should not re-validate files however if anyone runs into this problem post on this discussion and I will see what I can find for a work around on that.

O.K I am a bit confused, would love to use Physx w/ BOS patch 1.3 but, will downloading and installing The physx Legacy drivers, make newer Nvidia Physx enabled games run not so good? Or do I install legacy driver, and then go ahead and instal newest physx? And will keep Legacy?? TY

drivers are separate things, legacy won't affect your new games

game cant bea lunched with that patch in the link... i have windows 7 and Rhaedon 3500 card

you need to install legacy physX drivers even if you have a radeon card. also holly crap necro

I had recently downloaded the game and installed the patch and the physx driver. The game's been working fine so far and I am at the cargo bay level. Not enjoying the game that much due to certain bad design choices, but its my type of game so that's ok. BTW if you can help me on certain issues listed below, I would be very grateful.

1) Is there any way to change the FOV, I checked the WCGF for a fix but I don't think its working.

2) I don't think the secondary fire is working in my game (or am I missing something). I just purchased a scoped sniper rifle, but I cant seem to use the scope.

3) The name of the rocket launcher comes up with some error and its not available in game.

I'll try uninstalling/re-installing the patch patch and the driver again.

No that didn't help. Don't know how to uninstall the patch. Recently watched a gameplay video and realised that my secondary fire doesn't work at all.

So I havent played since I was going to college but I believe the secondary fire is your MMB right click is for something else I believe.

I wouldn't know how to fix the FOV try looking for an INI file in the main folder.

the RL error is a new one to me and I have never dealt with that experience before so I couldn't tell you whats going on there.

Yes the default button for 'zoom' and also to bring your shield up when using the pistol is the 'mouse wheel button'. If you want to change it, look under the control settings for one called 'switch view' and change the key bind to what you want.
