Ok so I own disc versions of Bet on soldier and the sequels and expansion packs&Have a Physx question

Ok so I own disc versions of Bet on soldier and the sequels and expansion packs,which actually makes for 3 full bet on soldier games, and ALL of them had AGEIA PHYSX support before Nvidia took physx over, Can any1 answer this for me? =
Does the steam Bet on soldier Have nvidia physx put in to replace ageia physx?
Or does it Not have any Physx effects on steam?
Or is it another one of those games that won't run good and have LOTS of launch problems due to this?
I want to know because I LOVED the Bet on soldier games , and if it works w/ Nvidia Physx now, Then man I want the steam version and will be very excited !!! Such a fun game!

& B.OS> blood of sahara & B.O.S.>black out saigon.
3 bet on soldier games. The original B.O.S required a patch for ageia physx. I doubt they added Nvidia Physx?
Also How is it running on your PCs ?

1) Pre-Nvidia PhysX is supported through so called Legacy driver available on Nvidia site.

2) Steam version of BoS is 1.2 which wasn't PhysX enabled game (was added in 1.3 patch). Could be manually updated (complicated process for casual PC user).

I'll be putting up a tutorial on how to install 1.3 on steam without completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ your PC, if I remember correctly the starforce DRM breaks windows. It will be later today as right now I'm visiting my parents.

The DRM broke it all. I also own all games + dlc but can't play anything but now the main game throught Steam. I hate this... cause I have to pay twice AND the game isn't the genuine game like on the discs. You start with shield and a different weapon :(

So The steam version of original B.O.S just doesn't use physx then?(prolly better off i guess? I had implemented physx a while back for infernal and a few others but totally forgot how.TY keep lettin me know how the game works for you guys!?

I know it sux, be cool if steam took our codes or recognized discs.
So has the game changed a LOT? I used to Love these games b4 i had to rip my ageia bfg physx card out,I am glad Nvidia stepped up to the plate though,ever since Physx came out,I have LOVED it! Back in the ageia days though I LOVED Bet on soldier, and omg The vehicle mmo AUTO ASSUALT was my favorite game till it and its servers died ;(

Wow I just trieed to instal disc veersion on win7 64 bit, what a nightmare i forgot about th starforce... might grab her on steam! RLLY tempted to play this old original style game again!

I also own the disc versions of Bet on soldier but not the expansions, so I want to know if the disc versions of Bet on soldier and expansion packs work on windows 7-10 an up ... and there were sequels to Bet on soldier?

[EDIT: standalone DVD version] oh man, just bought and tried to install BOS on win 10 and it completely broke my windows install. I ended up re-installing windows. Starforge DRM protection was to blame so looks like I cant play the legit copy of the game I have what a bummer. Anyone know how to make the game work without the horrible starforge?

wow from the steam version?! weird. it works ok on win7 64 bit. the disc version however does not (for me) sorry cant confirm anything on win 10

yea unfortunatly you gotta buy the steam version or it will F up your PC... which means you can't play the stand alone add ons or add ons black out saigon and blood of sahara, just original bos on steam with no physx support :( nowadays.

I ended up getting the steam version now. I always wanted to try this game. Ever since I saw an article about it in a pc gamer all those years ago and then I forgot the name of the game and never got to try it until recently when I found out it was Bet On Soldier. Now that curiosity is finally over :D
