Tropico 2: Pirate Cove

Tropico 2: Pirate Cove

Dgvoodoo2 fix?
Someone has tried Dgvoodoo2 for Tropico? I put DDraw.dll and D3Dlmm.dll on game's directory but is not working very well. The HUD is complety white and i can't see the background on the main menu. I'm using Window 7. Any help?

I wrote up my method here https://steamcommunity.com/app/33530/discussions/0/2944747978665798180/ See if this works for you. Remember you pick the 32 bit or 64 bit dll files for the game, not your system (the game is 32bit)

I put the 32 bit version dlls but here's what I see:

My only problem is hardware render. With my RX580 it doesn't work and I was hoping to activate it with Dgvoodoo2.

Same configuration. If you activate hardware render, the game will crash?

Just tested. It didn't seem to have any effect on my game when I changed it from software to hardware

If anyone else has the issue of a white UI, i followed the instructions on the voodoo site that told me with an AMD graphics card you need to use the dgVoodoo control panel to set the Output API to a Direct3D 12 one instead of 11. This fix it for me. I had completely black and white cutscenes and a white UI before i made this change.
this is mentioned in http://dege.fw.hu/dgVoodoo2/QuickGuide/
under the question "That's all?"
