Tropico 3: cheat codes?

Hi all, I am so happy to have found this game again, played it a LOT :) BUT...always with cheat codes. I remeber it being fairly easy to do, and when I look it up, it SHOULD be easy, but I cannot seem to enter the codes in this steam verion...Anybody any ideas how to enter cheat codes? Just typing pesos or muchpesos for ex to get more mone, doesn't seem to work...Neither does a specific combination like CTRL+cheat or something like that...Thanks!

I don't know about Tropico 3, but cheat codes in Tropico 1 can be entered by typing the code while keeping the CTRL key pressed ;)
