RC Controllers supported?
I JUST stumbled on this game, and it has me quite excited! I've always wondered why there wasn't an RC car simulator like the RC plane and helis. But with the planes and helis sims, you really need the controller that comes with them if you want it to help you in real life.

Obviously, a mouse, keyboard, or xbox controller isn't going to be anywhere close to replicating the common controls of an RC car transmitter (trigger throttle and brake, little steering wheel, etc.)

So what do we need to purchase at our local hobby store to be able to operate this sim properly? Or is that even possible? If it is, a list of supported RC transmitters (and how to get them work with our PC's and the game) would be great! :)

You can control VRC PRO with a gamepad, which is pretty convenient for most users. Especially if you have gamepad control skills, this is your best option.

BUT...

Yes, you can control this game with your RC radio transmitter. All you need is this:
✓ Radio transmitter (any brand/type will work)
✓ Receiver (any brand/type will work)
✓ VRC USB Adaptor

We offer the VRC USB Adaptor in our e-shop, which you can access with your Steam login as soon as you've got the game running on Steam: https://www.vrcworld.com/eshop/product.aspx?48

It costs only 10 euros ($11) incl. free international shipping!

Here is more information about the VRC USB Adaptor: https://www.vrcworld.com/support/faq2.aspx?question=7360

The usb adaptor connects to your receiver, so it doesn't really matter how your transmitter and receiver are binding... yes it will work as long as you have a radio and receiver that work together.

In case anybody else wonders where to get transmitters/receivers, a friend of mine recommended buying them from Hobbyking.com, or Hobbyking.co.uk ... they have warehouses in US, UK, and EU. Most transmitters come with a matching receiver, and they're cheaper than I thought - £12-£30, (or much more if you really want, but not necessary for VRC-Pro). Looking forward to "receiving" mine next week!

This link should get you started: http://hobbyking.co.uk/hobbyking/store/__699__698__Cars_Parts-Transmitters.html

I went to the Cars & Parts > Car Radios > Transmitters section.

The Flysky IT-4 works perfectly without the VRC adapter, plugs into the pc and set it to usb mode, Windows treats it like a joystick:)
