It's beautiful but overly didactic. I don't like when people try imposing their morals on me.

The morality system is terrible, the rat people are evil towards humans treating them like animals, and I get penalized by killing the Rat father? Most of the puzzles are okay, and few of them are pretty good.

More of a hidden object game than a point and click. The visuals are muddy and look like a photobashed mess put through filter after filter until they look vaguely lovecraftian and then drenched in brown and green hues. Everything looks like its made of clay due to all these filters, and the tweened movement of characters looks strange. The font used for dialogue and notes is completely unfitting for the game. There is pretty much no music.

The feel of the game is kind of cool but there's no explanation for what is going on or rhyme or reason to the areas. It's just one weird lovecraftian blob of brown after the next. This is really weak for a point + click game. No, I don't think a somewhat cool aesthetic means a game deserves a recommendation...it's not all that fun.

The artstyle is great (inspired by Beksiński and Giger).
Music is very good - competent and builds the atmosphere.
Puzzles are ridiculously easy and many of them have a design that you'll probably know from elsewhere that feels out of place here.
There are no dialogues - only monologues given by the NPCs.
Too often things feel contrived.
Once I started playing the game and learnt where the (amnesiac) character was I knew where this was going and what the ending would be. Wasn't wrong and it was bad (among other things- because the idea is overused)
The animation at the end with the character falling/flying was just ridiculous and completely destroyed the mood.
Game took me 3,5 hours to finish on first playthrough.

Cool art. Bad game. The dialogue is total trash tier and the puzzles are way too simple. Also it's not really clear sometimes what the outcome of what you're doing will scuff a run until you've already done it. Pass on this one,

I played for 20 minutes, saved, then came back later. The game launched a small black box and wouldn't start. After some googling, I discovered this is a bug from 2015 that still hasn't been fixed, and the only "solution" is to delete your save and start over. I do not recommend.

Shallow story + clishee ending buried under good art and lackluster puzzles

Style over substance on this one.
The game uses art very much inspired by HR Giger the man who created the style of Alien and lots of other sci-fi /dark phantasy designs but alas this is the only really strong point of the game. So basically the game invested all its effort into style that is helping to develope all this dark hopeless athmosphere yet it fails on the story department and is having some real issues with being a hypocrite later on the ending
because there is a moral decision system in this game that is totally influenced by some christianized moral belief system which means:
The game preaches you what is right and wrong even when killing off a torturer that just stuck multiple items inside a prisoner while mumbling something about "cleansing" him of evil. Judging you for trying to get rid of the sadist for good.
Yet the game deems it ok to kill lesser and smart animals to get ahead in the story by ripping their limbs off or driving a machine into them. Examples are a dog, a spider and some phantasy animal. Totally ignoring the fact they also suffer and feel the pain. All this got ignored on the totally clishee endings which could also just be copied of some "holy" book. Even ignoring the fact when you get rid of a torturer and another character that is a sneaky serial murderer you spare other sentient beings the suffering. Another example is when the game is trying to tell you that torture is somehow okay but it is not okay to end suffering with suicide.

The puzzles are mostly either some still version of tetris or you pixel hunt till you find all the things you need. You constantly find some info sheets so you never really get lost. Just a bit annoyed you get with the piano puzzle you have to do on the last part of the story because the notes are upside down and you need to play them the exact way to get ahead in story.
Using Kant in your intro and then not really respecting a more philosophical choice approach without brainwashed dogma is also a No recommend.

II was intrigued up until the ending. WTF

Go play Planescape Torment if you haven't already, Same "themes" 200% better execution and story.
Trust me.

Decided to do one bad deed at the end, just because so many suffered because of the winged creature, surely they deserve closure too. And suddenly all my other good actions still leed me to eternal damnation..
"No one is perfect, but even so".. wtf

TL;DR a 5/10 point&click adventure game.

The good:
- The artistic style: As people mentioned it's unique. Although resolution-wise it's hard to enjoy it (more on this later).
- The puzzles: I liked that they weren't too complex, and you often had hints that helped you solve them. There were almost no "impossible" puzzles you have to use a walkthrough or try get stuck for hours trying every option to solve.
- The price: I think $12 (full price, and less on sale) is very reasonable for an indie game. Especially when asset-flips allow themselves to charge $10 per game.

The bad:
- The plot: The plot is really non-existent, except for maybe a comprehensible sentence here and there. There is virtually no plot, and nothing drawing you back to playing the game the next day.
- The graphics: Are really not good. Despite the unique art style, the resolution of the game is just lacking. Nothing is beautifully drawn or awe-inspiring. It honestly looks like a 1999 game.
- The atmosphere: Not really there. The sound score didn't do anything for me. Neither did the art style.

The meh
- The length: Pretty short. Took me around 3 hours of casual gameplay to finish, and I have no desire to replay it. But I also have no desire to suffer for hours on end in this game, as it's not really very enjoyable.
