Why are Scarabs not shown?

I beat the game and am trying to collect all scarabs. I checked and followed the scarabs map on IGN, however, when I went to the location, the scarab is not shown while some scarabs on other locations also disappear. I also checked a video walk through on youtube, the scarab in his game is shown. WHY? WHY?

Are they meant to be hiding until I got the tracker to detect them out?

Then how did someone get all scarabs before the tracker is updated to the game?

A scarab will disappear in next game restart after being collected. But it will show in the map when zoomed in. So weird.

you used a admin.cfg? its the first think i remember, when used it they are some visuel bugs ther.

The scarabs will only be visible once you have less than 10 left to complete

My savefile reports 100% completion but I have neither the achievement nor the scarabs being shown on the map :(

I can see some scarabs on the map when I'm far away from it but when I come in closer it doesn't show on the map and it's in fact a scarab I already activated.

Regardless, I don't have any blue markers on my map

scarabs are not included in the file%.
they just reward you with extra fruit once.
if you have done a scarab he disapears when you load the zone again. every unloaded zone still shows scarabs. so once you know what to search for you can travel around and when you are close to pinball areas watch them on the map. the blue indicators do only show up when you have 10 or less scarabs to go (there are 42 overall)
