Drive to Hell controller support guide
Please use the following guide for getting Drive to Hell working with various controllers. Depending on the controller you might need to install some drivers and configure a few things. If the below if followed you should have no issue playing drive to hell with keyboard, keyboard & mouse, a controller, or any combination of those in 4-player co-op. Have fun!

NEW AS OF v2.0.2 - DRIVE TO HELL NOW USES INCONTROL
Please see the InControl docs[www.gallantgames.com] for a list of all supported controllers. At the time of this writing they are:
  • Xbox 360 controller on Windows, Mac, and Linux.
  • Xbox One controller on Windows.
  • Playstation 3 controller on Windows, Mac, and Linux.
  • Playstation 4 controller on Windows, Mac, and Linux.
  • OUYA controller on Windows and Linux.
  • Logitech F310 on Windows, Mac, and Linux.
  • Logitech F710 on Windows and Mac.
  • Logitech Dual Action on Windows and Mac.
  • Logitech RumblePad 2 on Mac.
  • Moga Pro on Windows, Mac, and Linux.
  • Mad Catz FPS Pro on Mac.
  • Speedlink Strike on Windows and Mac.
  • Executioner X on Window and Mac.
  • SteelSeries Free on Windows, Mac, and Linux.
  • Playstation 2 controller on Windows (with adapter)
  • A variety of Xbox 360 clones are supported.
  • XInput support on Windows

SUPER IMPORTANT
  • Any time controllers are added or removed the game must be restarted for the changes to take effect. This is unfortunately something I have little control over but please make sure all controllers that you intend to use for a game session are plugged in before Drive to Hell is started.
  • Once plugged in you may need to press the controller's Playstation or Xbox button to turn the controller on.

Mac OS X

WINDOWS 7 & 8

ADDITIONAL NOTES
  • Lights indicating player number on the controller will not match player number in-game. This is beyond my control and not something the drivers provide support for, especially if you're using multiple types of controllers at once.

So Xbox 360 wireless controller won't work?

Not at the moment no I don't believe so but we're working on more robust support. We'll update this thread with news when that's implemented.

Yeah, just tried to play with an official 360 wireless pad + receiver and it ain't working at all :-( ( The pad shows up as "Controller (Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows)" in the control panel if that helps ). Good luck!

Ha, thanks! We're all about supporting our games as best we can and we're working on something that should help you guys out real soon. I don't want anybody to miss out on one of our games over something like controller support. :)

You should now be able to play Drive to Hell with a wireless 360 controller! See the guide in the OP for more details.

I was sad last week when it didn't want to work with my wireless remotes, thanks a lot for the very quick update! :B1:

Not sure if anyone else has had this happen but while playing Local Co op with two wired 360 controllers, when you press RT on controller 1 it boosts player 2 forward in their car. When you press RT on player 2 controller it boosts player 1's car forward. It seems reversed.

Are you on Windows 8.1 by any chance? Someone else just reported that problem specifically with that version of Windows.

Does this game support controllers with xinput?
Because I have four speedlink controllers:
http://www.speedlink.com/?p=2&cat=4131&pid=35943&paus=1
http://www.speedlink.com/?p=2&cat=4131&pid=25492&paus=1
... and game not working with any of them. :calm_creep:

The game is making a ticking sound and the buttons are working erratically. I'm using a wired xbox one controller.
