Is there an option somewhere that allows dialogue text speed to go any faster? It's pretty slow.

Tapping/Clicking will instantly display the current dialogue. Tapping again will skip to the next piece though. So you get into a double tap/click rhythm of "dialogue starts, tap, read, tap tap, read, tap tap, read" repeat until the conversation is over.

Edit: and if you accidentally skip a piece of dialogue before you finished reading it you can always open the log in the top left to see previous dialogue.
