Any way to switch your commander's gender?

The male commander is just annoying to me already. Even if the lines are the same, I think hearing a female voice instead would at least be a little bit better. I can't seem to find the option to change like there was in the first game. Is this something that unlocks after the early story, or does the option just not exist in this game? It would be nice to not have to restart anew, since I think I got some stuff for pre-registering on my current account. I'm considering doing it if there's no way to change though. I just don't want to be suffering through the whole story lol.

AFAIK the answer is no. Commander is male.

You get a male/female choice for the commander in the beginning of the game I thought. As far as changing it without a wipe or new account, I do not think so.

You may be right. I default always pick female for lead in gacha games and I also skip story lol. I scrolled through all the settings, doesn't seem to be a way to change gender.

skk as a protagonist is less of self insert and more of standalone character with their own personality, opinions and reactions to events.

skk gender is not fixed and you can pick between male or female.

Game is written in a way that you character is unisex, character gender does not affect the story.

Currently you can't. But since in GFL1 you can just switch it freely (in Neural Cloud too) maybe in the future...

I believe the devs talked about adding the ability to switch sometime in the future. No ETA.
