If you want the game, buy it. If you want to boycut Ubisoft, don't buy it.
Pirating the game will only make the situation worse.
Pirating a game is not cracking a game. I already own the game, however because of the horrible DRM, I can't play it. DRM is not meant to counter pirates, it's menat to control the consumer. I've purchased it, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ has my money, but I can't play MY GAME, that I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ PURCHASED.
He makes a good point here, no need to get angry, you need to be careful about posting about cracks, I did so on my previous account because I could not get GTA IV to run so I posted asking about a crack that would allow me to resume playing... and my steam account got banned for advocating the use of piracy in games, I was still able to play games on that account but my posting and steam support rights were banned for life.
unfortunatly cracking a game is still considered piracy due to the fact that you could take simple usb drive and transfer your steam games to a friends PC and run them with cracks
But really I think they're just training people to feel more comfortable having nerfed technology.
You know, you log onto your windows machine only using an email that you had to activate with your phone number... or credit card. ;)
If you want to say something, don't buy their stuff.
I don't buy games from EA, Ubisoft, and I just sold my Xbox in favor of PS3.
I'm not buying any new consoles as I have a PC.
Windows works fine for me, but I won't download "spark" as it requires you to use your email to sign into your computer. Microsoft is just another subsidiary of PRISM. Most of the technological patents the United States has comes right from government projects. They roll out the tech after it sits for around 20 or so years on the shelf.
Our economy is propped up with these technological patents created by the government and sold to corporations under different contracts. On soo many levels the systems are being implimented to control the flow of information around the internet. That starts with limiting the ability for one to be anonymous or otherwise free with their hardware and software.
So yeah avoiding these companies like the plague is a good thing.
Valve is just soft DRM, it's probably no different I would imagine with all the cute marketing and the fact that you don't own any of your games on here. It's all a license and it can be taken from you for something as simple as this post.
Welcome to freedom.
You bought it, hard.
Me, I still have a bunch of my standalone (physical copy) games from the early 2000s so I'm waiting for the day that I get kicked off of here. It won't be a problem.
Anyway, mark my words people it's coming. The technological gridlock with signs and checks everywhere you go.
If you want any chance of stopping this, contact your representatives (as if that works anymore) and tell them to protect Net Neutrality. You're all nerds, geeks, and otherwise gamers like myself. This ♥♥♥♥ should be very important to you, look it up and don't be lazy.
Sooner or later being lazy like the old days will vanish, are you soo lazy that you can't protect your lazy?
Well then you deserve to be used. I rest my case.
I bet they will start to appreciate in value. lol
That is very sad.
